Our dance classes for 6-10 year olds are designed to nurture our student's creativity, confidence, and technique. At this age, children are ready to build a strong foundation in dance through structured lessons that are both fun and challenging. Ballet
Our ballet classes are perfect for young dancers who want to develop grace, strength, and focus. Our 6-10 year old ballet students will work towards ISTD Primary and Grade 1 Ballet and have the opportunity to take exams. Modern Theatre & Tap
Our children’s Modern Theatre & Tap dance classes offer energetic, rhythmic styles that engage kids who love to move in all ways! They work towards ISTD Tap and Modern Theatre Syllabus and have the opportunity to take dance exams. Our classes are structured, fun, and beneficial for our student's all-round development. While teaching dance skills and techniques through our curriculum we also focus on building confidence and self-expression, fostering social skills and teamwork in a group setting, and developing discipline and work ethic.
Fostering a love for dance through playful teaching and learning, we believe in making the learning experience enjoyable, allowing children to discover the beauty of movement with enthusiasm and delight.
The children are invited to dance in our annual dance show which typically happens in February. This is held in a theatre and each class performs 4 routines in front of a supportive audience of family and friends.
The children are also encouraged to take their ISTD exams in Imperial Classical Ballet from Primary to Advanced 2.
Every child is empowered to be in control of their own dance journey and therefore taking part in shows and exams, although encouraged, is always optional. We implement line switching in shows ensuring every student has an opportunity to shine.
We charge a fixed show fee of £38. This covers the hire of 4 costumes, plus any props/accessories, and chaperone costs. Ticket prices are also kept low. We split the school into separate shows allowing your child as much stage time as possible while keeping the shows short. Even with your child dancing in 4 separate routines, the shows last no more than an hour and a half.
